Lukas and Theresa were delighted to create 2 designs for model permaculture gardens in schools in Albania in summer 2022. The ministry of culture in Albania has started an forward-thiniking pioneer project by introducing Permaculture and some of its principles in the national curriculum at primary schools. Along with that school gardens are currently set up for practical hands-on learning during biology lessons. Permacult has cooperated on this amazing project with some key actors in Albania to design mandala and tree guild school gardens with a variaty of functions and examples of good permaculture design and a special species selection for this particular region and „audience“. We will follow up with more information on this newly forming programme and hope to cooperate with the respective actors in Albania further!
